Contest Period
Deadline is midnight on Wednesday, January 11, 2012.
All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date.
Registration
This Competition is open to nationals and residents of the State of Qatar aged 18 years and above except for employees of Jaidah Group, their families or any other party associated with this competition.
All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Entries should be submitted by via website www.jaidahphotoaward.com. Entries must be labeled with the entrant’s name, address and telephone number. No other method of entry is accepted. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted and only one entry per person.
Theme of the contest
Only images clearly reflecting the theme “Reflections” will be considered for the competition. All photos submitted that are not representative of the specific theme will be removed.
Incomplete entries will not be accepted. JPA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove from the Website and disqualify any entry not in compliance with these Official Rules.
Photos
Only one (1) entry per Entrant. Only digital photos will be considered. The entrants must not Photoshop or watermarks and the photos must be taken and sent in a high resolution without any crop as well a minimum of 3500x2300 pixels (20x30 cm) at 300 dpi resolutions.
Once the photo is uploaded on the website, Entrants should submit the Raw/TIFF file to “W Hotel- Concierge Desk- West Bay- Doha- Qatar”.
General
All images submitted must be the work of the entrant and must not have won a prize in any other photographic competition. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that they are the authors of the submitted photograph and that they own the copyright for it.
By entering the Contest, the entrant consents to JPA's and its partner, affiliates and subsidiaries use of his/her name, except where prohibited by law, and use, reproduction, and display of his/her entry for any advertising and promotional purposes relating to the Contest, in any media now known or hereafter devised, without further notice, compensation, consideration, review, or consent and without regard to moral rights.
Copyrights
Copyright of all submitted photos in this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of their providing the Competition, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, rights to the organizer started from the day of the selection, to feature any or all of the submitted images in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition.
By submitting an entry, the entrant grants JPA the irrevocable right to publish the photograph in relation to publicity of this competition without compensation to you.
Notification
The Judges' decisions are final with respect to all aspects of the Contest. The Winners will be notified by e-mail within three (3) business days of the Jury’s decision. If the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, and If the winner (s) do not respond within five (5) business days of the date appearing on the prize notification, or fails to comply with the restrictions contained in the prize notification within that time period, he/she will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected based on the criteria for the selection of the winners described herein. If, in JPA's opinion, there is any suspected or actualevidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Contest, or iftechnical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Contest, the JPA reserves theright to terminate the Contest.
Prizes
All prizes are non-transferrable.
All winning entries will be showcased on the website and Facebook page. The works of the Local Winners will be published by JPA for distribution to interested parties within the industry.
Disclaimer
While JPA will take good care when printing of the photographs for showcasing purposes, JPA cannot be held responsible if the printing quality is different from the quality expected by the entrant.
